SUPPORTERS DIRECT: Millwall threatened with relocation
By Alan Jones
Millwall have said they will look into moving to Kent if compulsory purchase order for land around the New Den happens.
A meeting of Lewisham Council to make a final decision on the CPOs was rescheduled again last week.
The club say the sale of land to an offshore development company called Renewal, which has ties to former council cabinet members, would act as a catalyst for the club being forced to move from their home of more than 100 years.
Development of the area would make the Lions’ category two academy inoperable.
